We’re not living in the 1950s anymore
Life was great in the 1950s – juke boxes, the advent of television, drive-in movie theaters and the old-fashioned diner with red stools. Those were the simplistic days of fun and all things Americana. But no matter how hard we try, we cannot recreate that time of innocence by ignoring today’s existential dangers which threaten to remove our freedoms, forcing everyone into a life of Islamic servitude.
Those were the thoughts I had while watching a recent Fox and Friends segment aired on June 28, featuring American radio personality Sid Rosenberg, hosted by Rachel Campos- Duffy, Griff Jenkins and Charlie Hurt.
Having just returned from a trip to Israel, the conversation centered on what the atmosphere was like there, as it relates to the potential peace agreement between Iran and the U.S.
Rosenberg said that Israelis are watching this very closely, because “when the bombs start to fly, it’s not Brooklyn or Cincinnati. It’s Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, and they want to see Trump level this regime, knock them, out so there can be ultimate surrender and victory. None of this peace talk.”
Campos-Duffy jumped in to ask about the cost of that. Referring to much higher gas prices or boots on the ground, she asked whether it’s a reasonable price to pay to take out the regime for America - not for Israel, reminding Rosenberg that “he’s an American.”
It was hard not to wonder why she felt the need to insert that little message, given that Sid is obviously a Jew who had just paid a visit to his ancestral homeland. Was she checking to which country his loyalty belonged?
Assuring her that he, indeed, was an American, as well as a MAGA Trump guy, he went on to explain that diplomacy is not the way to win this, because it simply will not happen. In fact, he made a point of guaranteeing the audience that Iran will never agree to a deal, and, if they do, they will never comply.
He said, “Our threats are not working, because they don’t care.” Campos-Duffy continued to press him on the potential issue of “boots on the ground,” to which he said that may have to happen to get to the uranium. Rosenberg said, “You can’t start this thing and not finish, and while we started out great, we’re now stuck.”
That claim caused Jenkins to push back, saying, “Isn’t it a bit of an exaggeration to say that we’re stuck, because Trump has said he’s going to play this out and J.D. Vance said that we’ve already won, because America has put this decision in the hands of Iran. We can go as long as we want.”
Rosenberg was quick to say, “No, we can’t go as long as we want. Gas prices are too high, midterms are coming up, and, as a sports guy, you don’t end the game in the 6th inning. We haven’t won anything yet. There’s no end to this. We’re in the same exact place as four months ago. They’re still striking us. We’re still striking them. Israel and Americans are still nervous, so how do you claim victory when the game is far from over? How are we not stuck? What are we doing to provoke Iran to make them do what we want them to do?”
That’s when Campos-Duffy said that 67% of Americans like the deal, to which Rosenberg stated, “There’s no deal, only a Memorandum of Understanding.” He continued saying, “No one wants anyone to die, but this is a 47-year war we didn’t start. Trump was the only president to take it on, but if you start, you have to finish it. Unfortunately, people do die in war, even innocent civilians.”
The exchange was very telling, revealing the great divide in the thinking of everyday Americans who seem to think that this is Israel’s battle and not theirs. Imagining their sons going to war over a crisis in the far-away Middle East is nothing they are willing to support.
But here is the great delusion. Any American who thinks that way, is still living in a 50s bubble, when life was uncomplicated and the troubles of other countries stayed on their side of the world.
Many Americans became so insular, that they didn’t pay attention to the steady stream of Muslim migrants who were coming to U.S., not so much to live out the American dream, but to actually import their way of life, their Islamic laws and their culture to an unsuspecting population who mostly welcomed them in.
That next generation of migrant children have entered adulthood and are running for public office. One of them just won! Aber Kawas is the daughter of Jordanian Palestinian Abdelkareem Kawas who came to America on a tourist visa in 1989 and never left. “He was then convicted of felony fraud in two separate states before federal authorities removed him from the country.”
Calling her father’s deportation a cruel injustice, Kawas does not share American values but, instead, has downplayed 9/11, calling it event that “was the manifestation of “white supremacy” and “Western colonialism.”
Her platform includes strict rent control, broad economic programs (a/k/a free handouts), opposes US military aid to Israel, against deportations and advocates for police accountability (a/k/a anti-police), values not shared by everyday Americans.
She is one of the many anti-American candidates, working from within, hoping to radically change the country as we know it. But there are also those working from afar to eventually force every human being to conform to Islam. How will they do it? Simple!
By developing nuclear weapons and threatening to use them, they can dictate pretty much anything they want. This is the answer to the often-heard comment of Americans who say, “I don’t know why we are taking part in a war that belongs to Israel.”
It is because this is not Israel’s war. It is mankind’s war, and if everyone doesn’t begin to recognize that, they will lose the way of life they have cherished and taken for granted.
It’s nice to pretend that not much has changed since those carefree and fun-loving days of the 1950s, but 75 years have come and gone, and we can no longer afford to live in a bubble of our own making.
America must be part of this fight – whether they like it or not, because it’s coming for them too!
