Hamas broke? Fighters sell weapons while terror leaders live in luxury

Poor Hamas. My heart bleeds for them. After committing the deadliest terror attack on Israeli soil, they are now having to sell off their weapons due to a financial crisis.

It was recently reported on All Israel News that Hamas is struggling to pay its members.

According to reports in Arab media, some Hamas members have begun selling personal weapons due to the significant financial crisis facing the terror organization.

The political and military threats are no longer the primary challenge facing Hamas, Arab news site Middle East Online (MEO) reported on Sunday. Instead, the group is now facing serious difficulty paying its members, which has reportedly led some to sell weapons and military equipment.

If Hamas is struggling so much, maybe the pink-haired students can extend their student loans to help these poor chaps out.

Maybe Greta could arrange a big flotilla filled with cash so that Hamas members don’t miss next month’s repayments.

Or perhaps replacement theology churches could take up a special offering just for Hamas to help them out at this difficult time. After all, what would Jesus do?

I say all this tongue in cheek.

Hamas has put itself in this position. It is Hamas that started this war, pushing its own people into tents and forcing them to live with instability.

They claimed to agree to a peace agreement, and part of that agreement was to disarm. No one for a minute believed they would disarm. Maybe this is God’s way of forcing them to do so.

My question is: Are they really running out of money?

Let us remember, while Hamas fighters struggle to get paid, leaders like Khaled Mashal—who, according to Google, lives in luxury in Qatar—are reportedly worth billions. Some reports estimate his net worth at $4–5 billion, while others suggest as much as $26 billion (these figures are estimates).

Hamas’s overall fortune is estimated at $5 billion, and the late Yahya Sinwar was reportedly worth $4 billion. I wonder if Mohammed Sinwar has inherited that?

So the big question I have to ask the fighters on the ground in Gaza and in the tunnels is: Are you stupid?

You live in tunnels. You’ve created all this trouble for yourselves, and you’re not getting paid.

Has the penny dropped yet?

Your leaders are living in luxury, and you are living in squalor.

Palestinians living in Gaza, you are in tents while your leaders live in luxury.

Proverbs 29:14 says:
“The king who judges the poor with truth, his throne will be established forever.”

The Palestinian people deserve better leadership than Hamas. Hamas has led its people into poverty through its actions.

Let’s hope the Palestinians get better leadership.
