Netanyahu uses AI voice in Persian video urging Iranians to rise up as Israel launches airstrikes

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday used an AI-generated voice in a social media video, speaking in Persian to renew his call for Iranians to rise against their government.

During his first address at the start of Operation Roaring Lion, Netanyahu called on Iranian citizens to rise against their government. In the latest video, his message was translated into Persian, with Netanyahu warning that Israel would escalate its campaign.

“In the coming days, we will strike thousands of targets belonging to the terror regime,” Netanyahu promised. “We will create conditions for the brave people of Iran to free themselves from the chains of tyranny.”

On Saturday, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the military offensive, known as “Operation Epic Fury” to the American public. He, too, expressed his desire for the people of Iran to seize the moment and take this opportunity to overthrow their government.

Netanyahu continued speaking to the people of Iran: “Do not give up, because your moment will come soon. The moment when you must take to the streets – take to the streets in your millions to finish the job, to topple the terror regime that has made your lives unbearable."

"Your suffering and sacrifice will not be in vain. The help you have been waiting for has arrived. The help has arrived, and now is the time to unite for a historic mission,” he encouraged.

Speaking to all segments of the Iranian people, "the Persians, the Kurds, the Azeris, the Balochis, and the Ahwazis," he advised them to "rid themselves of the yoke of tyranny and bring about a free and peace-seeking Iran."

Almost as soon as Israel began its air attacks, Iran attempted to strike back – and Israeli air‑defense systems reportedly shot down waves of incoming missiles over several parts of the country.

“I appeal to you, citizens of Israel, to comply with the directives of the Home Front Command. The coming days of Operation Roaring Lion will demand patience and fortitude from all of us. We shall stand together, fight together, and ensure the eternity of Israel together.”

While this is the first time the prime minister has addressed Iranians in Persian using AI, Netanyahu has released several similar video messages over the years, assuring them that the people of Israel stand with them.
