Bondi Beach attack exposes deadly reality behind the 'global intifada'

Bondi Beach, with its golden sand, crashing waves, and a place to top up your tan, sounds idyllic. But now the sand is mixed with Jewish blood. Instead of the sound of crashing waves, we hear the horror of crying Jews running for their lives. Jews aren’t tanning a golden brown; they are flowing red with blood.

This is the “global intifada” that pro-Palestinian protests have been shouting about.

We’ve seen it in Washington DC. We’ve seen it in Manchester. And now we see it in Australia.

Even more shocking is that the gunmen were father and son.
The ideology of hatred and antisemitism has been passed from father to son.

Who in their right mind would take their son on an antisemitic hatred attack? But of course, we have seen this before. I remember the phone call on October 7th:
“Dad, I’ve killed Jews.”
And what was the response?
“Allahu Akbar.”

We have a big problem with fundamental Islam, and we need to talk about it.

The terror attacks aren’t about Palestine; they are about Islam.

You don’t see Palestinian Christians strapping bombs to their bodies. You don’t see them running at a checkpoint with a knife trying to stab a border policeman. You don’t see them driving a car into a bus stop full of waiting pedestrians.

The question is: why?

They are Palestinian. The Jews are to blame for everything (in Palestinian ideology), so why don’t we see every Palestinian Christian fighting in the struggle?

Of course, they are not indoctrinated in Islamic ideology.

Muslims do it because they are taught it.

They are taught it in the Quran. They are taught it in the mosque.

It is even in their schoolbooks. It’s in their culture. It’s in their religion.

Thankfully, Christians have a different ideology, and that ideology works.

Christian children are not immune to some of this hate because it exists in their society. They have the same schoolbooks and the same news channels. But fundamentally, Christianity is about love. It is the root and core of Christianity.

Jesus said it well:

Matthew 5:44–45 (NKJV)
“But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.”

He also spoke about turning the other cheek:

Matthew 5:38–40
“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also.”

Christians should love their neighbor as themselves, whether their neighbor is a Jew, Muslim, African, or Indian. The core message of the Bible is love.

We see how that message is powerfully reflected in our Christian Palestinian brothers and sisters, who don’t have it easy.

The Christian foundation is built upon a rock—a rock of love and respect for all human beings, no matter who they are.

Islam is not. The Quran contains worrying antisemitism and hatred for those who are not of the faith.

This was clearly exposed in an interview I did with Tim Dieppe from Christian Concern in the UK.

Dieppe maintains that both the Quran (Islam’s central holy book) and the Hadith (collections of the Prophet Muhammed’s sayings and traditions) contain hostility toward Jews that continues to fuel modern antisemitic movements and attitudes.

Dieppe cites specific passages in the Quran and eschatological Hadith texts about stones and trees calling for Jews to be killed. He links this textual tradition to occurrences during the Prophet Muhammed’s lifetime and to the interpretations of subsequent Islamic scholars, arguing that these sources shape present-day Islamist rhetoric and violence.

Hate won’t win the day. The Jews of Australia will bounce back, and we as Christians should stand shoulder to shoulder with them because we share the same scriptures and the same struggle.

Our Christian brothers and sisters in Kenya are being slaughtered by fundamental Islam. We have seen it in Syria as well.

So let us build together—not on the sand of hatred, but on the rock of love.
