The UN fuels antisemitism with false genocide claims that collapse under genuine scrutiny

The UN investigatory committee has accused Israel of genocide. Although authored by the committee, this charge remains the UN’s responsibility. It is not a detached or independent initiative: the members of the commission are appointed by the UN itself, under the mandate of the Human Rights Council and the secretary-general.
Yet the blatantly false nature of this charge is obvious to all but those ignorant of the facts or blinded by satanic antisemitism. Those who take it seriously either fail to recognize, or deliberately ignore, that genocide in Gaza would contradict Jewish values, the laws and principles that govern the Israeli army, and Israel’s own national interests.
No basis for genocide – neither in intention nor in fact
It is worth noting that, just as skeptics of peace treaties with Muslim nations often cite Qur’anic verses about killing Jews to question their sincerity, today’s critics of Israel think of biblical commands to destroy the Canaanites, imagining that such texts still inspire Jews to wipe out today’s Palestinians.
Yet halacha – the body of Jewish religious law that strictly governs the conduct of the IDF and is enshrined in Israeli law – explicitly forbids applying those ancient commands to any people today, since no modern nation can be identified as a descendant of the biblical peoples. Therefore, in both Jewish and Christian interpretation, these passages have long since lost their literal meaning.
To claim that Israel’s policies reflect them can only be the result of ignorance or deliberate malice. The committee’s charge also falls apart factually, since it relies heavily on statistics provided by Hamas, the Islamist jihadist terror organization whose numbers have repeatedly proven to be fabrications.
For Hamas, inflating suffering, spreading lies, and portraying the humanitarian situation as even worse than reality serves its core interests: blaming Israel while maximizing Palestinian misery. And by endorsing the committee’s report, the UN itself lends institutional credibility to these distortions.
The report highlights fringe extremist rhetoric while ignoring the contrasting government reality
The report even cites statements by Israeli ministers as evidence. These quotes come from far-right politicians who have no direct influence over war policy and represent only a tiny minority within Israeli society. In the aftermath of Hamas’ brutal atrocities, Israeli politics have shifted further to the right, allowing a handful of extremists into the Knesset. Though they command little public support, their votes help secure Netanyahu’s coalition majority.
By contrast with the rhetoric of these extremist ministers, the government’s binding decisions consistently run counter to their demands. While they call for mass expulsion or abandoning humanitarian obligations, the government maintains humanitarian corridors, permits the transfer of fuel and medical supplies into Gaza, and coordinates aid deliveries with international agencies.
While they urge harsher, indiscriminate military action, the government prefers precision strikes over indiscriminate bombardments and prioritizes ground operations even at the cost of endangering the safety of IDF soldiers. It also repeatedly issues evacuation warnings to civilians before demolishing buildings Hamas used as part of its attack infrastructure. All of this makes clear how far government policy stands from the rhetoric of the extremists that the UN investigatory committee chose to highlight.
The difference between war and genocide
What the UN investigatory committee ignores is the fundamental difference between civilian suffering that tragically accompanies any war, and genocide. The Nazis carried out genocide. The Allied forces, through brutal street-to-street battles, dismantled Nazi rule. Israel is fighting a war it did not choose—one forced upon it by Hamas. This is not just any adversary: Hamas rules Gaza under a charter that openly declares the destruction of Israel as its goal, and its leaders have repeatedly stated—before the whole world and in statements still available online—that the October 7 massacre is something they intend to carry out again and again until Israel is annihilated. The world may refuse to hear or take these threats seriously, but Israel does.
Hamas has learned from the methods of Nazi propagandists: repeat a lie often enough and it will be believed, especially when it involves accusing Jews. Refutations reach only a small fraction, and even fewer are willing to take them seriously. Hamas manipulates global opinion while planning for those same Western societies to become its future victims.
Aiding Hamas propaganda
By repeating Hamas’ lies, suppressing basic facts and distorting others through false context, the UN investigatory committee has exposed its own moral corruption, fabricating a baseless genocide charge to delegitimize Israel and fuel antisemitism.
In doing so, the UN bears full responsibility – not only for empowering the commission, but also for the bias and distortions embedded in its work – turning this report into nothing less than a modern blood libel disguised in humanitarian clothing.
