Morocco to join Indonesia in sending troops to Gaza

Morocco, Greece and Albania are engaged in advanced talks with the United States regarding the deployment of their troops to the International Stabilization Force in the Gaza Strip, Kan News reported Monday evening.

Morocco is set to become the first Arab country to join the force.

CENTCOM representatives based in Kiryat Gat have reached out in recent days to the IDF’s Southern Command to coordinate entry into the territory between Rafah and Khan Younis, ahead of plans to build a new base for the multinational force.

The project involves a major base in southern Gaza that is expected to accommodate representatives from multiple militaries. Alongside the American personnel, contractors will also enter to plan the construction of the base. Groundwork is slated to begin at the end of the month.

Last week, Indonesia approved the deployment of thousands of its troops to the Gaza Strip as part of the force initiated by U.S. President Donald Trump, Kan News reported.
