Israel estimates over 1,000 Iranian IRGC and security forces have been killed in Operation Roaring Lion
US and Israel targeting IRGC and Basij forces, along with missile and drone facilities
U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran have killed more than 1,000 members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and security forces, i24 News reported, citing Israeli security sources.
Israeli officials reportedly estimate that between 1,000 and 1,500 troops have been killed in the strikes so far, with this being the conservative estimate.
Speaking with Ynet News, Israeli intelligence officials noted that the figures of munitions dropped during last year's 12-Day War had already been surpassed, as Israel launched 3,700 munitions so far.
Since the start of the Iran War, called Operation Roaring Lion by Israel, and Operation Epic Fury by the U.S., the two militaries have primarily targeted facilities belonging to the IRGC, the Basij militia, and top government officials. This has led to a high number of casualties among members of those groups. The above figure does not include any civilian casualties resulting from the strikes.
On Monday afternoon, another major Israeli strike in Tehran focused on emergency bases of internal security forces, the Basij, and the Revolutionary Guards.
According to the IDF, over 600 terrorist infrastructure sites of the Iranian regime, including over 20 targets belonging to Iranian military leaders, more than 150 surface-to-surface ballistic missiles, and over 200 Iranian aerial defense systems were struck so far.
The Iranian Red Crescent said Tuesday that more than 780 people have been killed since the start of the conflict on Saturday. Neither Israel nor the U.S. has released official estimates of the number of Iranians killed in the attack.
On Monday night, the Israel Air Force carried out an extensive strike on the Iranian regime’s leadership compound in Tehran, while hunting for ballistic missile launchers and air defense sites.
On Monday, Air Force struck government security buildings within the leadership complex in the heart of Tehran.
In the strike, the Presidential Office and the Supreme National Security Council building were hit. In addition, a compound that housed the regime's most senior forum, responsible for making security decisions, was struck, as well as the institution for training Iranian military officers, along with additional valuable infrastructure, the military said.

The leadership complex is one of the most secure properties in Iran and spreads over many blocks in the heart of Tehran.
The compound was used by Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, as well as other military and security officials.
“The complex served the leader of the slain Iranian terrorist regime, Ali Khamenei, and housed infrastructures that were used to conduct attacks against the State of Israel for the guidance and financing of the regime's terrorist proxies," the IDF spokesman said.
The IDF said the strike on the compound “deepens the damage to the functional continuity of the command and control systems of the regime.”

The IDF also said that the Israeli Navy took part in the strikes to kill an Iranian officer in Beirut. Reza Khazaei served simultaneously as Chief of Staff of the Lebanon Corps in the Iranian Quds Force and the head of Hezbollah's weapons build-up, being responsible "for the communication between the Hezbollah terrorist organization and the Iranian regime, in particular, ensuring that Iranian supplies met the needs of Hezbollah."
At the same time, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a statement that “U.S. forces have destroyed Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps command and control facilities, Iranian air defense capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and military airfields during sustained operations.”
