Who will get the credit for ending the Iranian threat?

There’s a well-known expression that says, “Success has many fathers, but failure is an orphan.” That might explain why, suddenly, there is much less reluctance to jump on the bandwagon of taking out the Iranian threat – something which, up until now, no one had the gumption to do. Countries such as the U.S., Germany and even Japan have expressed the immediate urgency to deal with this ticking time-bomb of a threat, each agreeing that it must be done now!
Knowing that the grains of sand were rapidly emptying out into the nuclear capabilities’ hour glass, the singular opportunity to act presented itself once Iran went over the 60-day Trump-imposed deadline, giving the Ayatollah a chance to come to the table and make a deal by agreeing to completely abandon his deadly aspirations, guaranteeing indiscriminate inspections.
Their failure to respond enabled the green light, given to Israel, of taking down the threat, and so they did! The tiny Middle East country, the size of New Jersey took on the behemoth Persian bully, 75 times bigger in size – an area of 1,648,195 sq. km. in contrast to Israel’s 21,640 sq. km.
What kind of odds would bookies have given for success by the Jewish state? That depends upon whether or not they would be willing to acknowledge who is really fueling the fight. But, from a natural standpoint, based on sheer numbers, manpower and limited weaponry, almost any sane and rational person would have bet against Israel, and rightly so.
Oddly enough, Hassan Chalghoumi, a Tunisian Imam, who has been living in France, since 1996, thought otherwise. Here’s part of what he said on YouTube… “There is something about these people of Israel that feels like a living miracle – a people that the Pharaohs tried to wipe out 3,000 years ago and failed, a people that Babylonians tried to destroy 2,500 years ago and failed. A people that the Romans wanted to wipe out 2,000 years ago and failed. A people that the Nazis destroyed 80 years ago, without succeeding to erase them. A people that the Arabs fought five wars against to wipe off the map and failed. This is a people small in number but with a unique strength, a divine blessing.”
Based upon his own unbiased observations, the Imam has come to the conclusion that someone else is behind the scenes, orchestrating a win that could not otherwise be achieved, given the realities on the ground.
Since that screeching buzzer went off on all Israeli phones at 3 a.m., last Friday morning, giving us a heads up that the operation dubbed, “Rising Lion” had begun in earnest, Israel was able to accomplish the following:
The Mossad damaged key nuclear sites and military installations, command centers and critical infrastructure
Struck Iran’s airport
Destroyed more than 120 surface-to-surface missile launchers (1/3 of Iran’s total)
Destroyed two F-14 aircraft
Eliminated 11 senior Iranian military officials, one of whom only lasted four days on the job
Elimination of top Iranian scientists
Suppressed most of Iran’s air defenses
Achieved air supremacy over Tehran in just three days
Conducted cyber operations against their banking system
And the list goes on. All this has been achieved in less than a week’s time. So, it’s no wonder that the Tunisian Imam stands in awe, recognizing the supernatural element of these actions, crediting it to a “divine blessing which defies all reason and logic.”
It is this type of miracle which causes him to sit up and take notice of a people descending from the prophets and great men of the Bible, who brought God’s truth to the world, concluding that it is with them that the Arabs should unite in order “to become infected with its knowledge, wisdom and honor.”
After all is said and done, Israel will be credited, once again, with daring to tread where no one else would go. Their strategies and preparations will, undoubtedly, be studied by others who will seek to glean the best war tactics that led to such resounding victories in record time.
And, of course, who would not credit America, headed by the Trump administration, for their willingness to employ the bunker busters which could, once and for all, put an end to the nuclear ambitions that threatened every government on the face of the earth? Without such weaponry, Iran would continue to laugh at the nations who neither had the stomach nor the personal conviction to take her on, something upon which they were counting.
So, while the towering Goliath has cast his giant shadow, taunting a feeble world, Israel, the little shepherd boy, has come forward with the pouch, containing a few smooth stones, but also the knowledge that, when threatened in the past, God came through for us in ways that could only be interpreted as a sovereign act to save His people. Is there any other explanation?
These historical accounts, found in the scriptures, are being played out, once again, in modern times as the world has a front-row seat to witness the unexplainable. Unquestionably, whoever comes to the aid of Israel, either with weapons of war or support and encouragement, for this crucial operation to take out an evil regime, will expect the gratitude and credit which they feel is due to them, especially the moment when the Ayatollahs and mullahs are no more.
Forgotten will be the singular bold and audacious daring displayed by Israel’s brave sons who courageously girded up their loins for the fight of their life, tirelessly working day and night to defang the great Persian tiger who held the world at bay, threatening to have the last laugh, but, in reality, showing themselves to be nothing more than a paper tiger.
Of course, no one knew that going in, but, even so, it’s hard to refute the indisputable evidence that what has happened in less than a week cannot be attributable to mere mortals. It is the undeniable hand of the Almighty, who has resoundingly taken down the demonic enemy of mankind. And while this chapter is still being written, Israel remains grateful for world leaders who chose to get on board, even if it was late in the game. Their help was vital and clearly contributed to a decisive win.
But the real credit deservedly belongs to the God of Israel who has, yet again, come through for His beloved chosen people!
