They will thank God for Israel

For months, we heard harsh condemnation from many nations of the world, furious with Israel for the transgression of daring to defend herself following a brutal massacre on her soil. Likened to the worst of the worst, we were accused of war crimes and genocide, brought before the world’s criminal courts and constantly castigated for what was being called the employment of disproportionate responses.
Suddenly, ever since last Thursday night, when Israel initiated its “Rising Lion” operation, to rid the world of Iran’s looming threat as they rushed to complete their nuclear capabilities, there’s been a sort of radio silence from those same government leaders and even human rights group. Here is the possible explanation.
A video clip began to surface a few days ago which, although produced 13 years ago, is as relevant as today’s front-page headlines. The speaker is none other than British commentator Douglas Murray, whose pro-Israel stand has led him to such extreme measures as becoming embedded with the IDF during their Gaza operations, an act which has assisted him to articulately and passionately express why this is a justified war, being fought in the most moral manner, as they attempt to rid the world of the greatest scourge known to man.
Having seen this, some 13 years ago, Murray presciently, back then, stated, “When Israel is pushed into the situation it is pushed to…as Iran is ready to produce its first bomb, Israel will strike and every single country will condemn Israel, even everyone in the Middle East, and they will go back to their homes and privately say, ‘thank God for Israel.’ The Saudis, the Bahrainis, the Egyptians, the Libyans, the Lebanese – everyone will say, ‘thank God they did it, because nobody else would.’”
Murray understood that world nations would not do anything to stop Iran. They would not help the Iranians extricate themselves from the heavy hand of tyranny, under which they have lived for 46 years. They would, instead, just point the finger at Israel.
We have certainly borne the reproach of nations, far beyond any others who have truly been guilty of the worst crimes against humanity, including forced slavery, sex trafficking, actual genocide and more. Not a peep from global agencies such as the United Nations, U.S. Institute of Peace, International Court of Justice, International Atomic Energy Agency, Fellowship of Reconciliation or others, who should be thrilled that Iran is being taken down.
Yet, none of these guardians of humanity have the backbone or courage to publicly acknowledge the leadership, bravery and daring which Israel has undertaken to protect, not only themselves, but the world’s inhabitants who otherwise would have been easy prey to a brutal regime that has designs on seizing ultimate control over the world’s population.
But is the silence of nations an indication that Douglas Murray was onto something? Is it possible that while they cannot bring themselves to utter words of gratitude that, secretly, in their heart of hearts, knowing from whence their deliverance has come but are so biased against the Jewish state that they prefer muzzling themselves muzzled rather than expressing even the smallest iota of appreciation for a job well done?
While this raging battle is taking place, Israel’s many detractors, ironically, are not rooting on the sidelines for an Iranian win. Why is that? After all, if we are the evil perpetrators of genocide, as they’ve depicted, why would they not be cheering on the mullahs of the Persian empire?
Could it be that they are loath to admit that these are the same beasts who have murdered women for improperly wearing their hijab? Or are they unable to hail a regime which has wrongly imprisoned and tortured Christians and political opponents who refused to support this terror state. Maybe it’s the execution of helpless children and women who are denied fair trials? Or perhaps it’s the lack of freedom of assembly, expression or rights for Iranian citizens.
It's hard to feign ignorance when the Iranian people, themselves, have taken the initiative to loudly expose the many abuses which are rife in their society, even at the risk of being killed for bringing it to the attention of an apathetic world which has largely ignored the real perpetrators of crimes against humanity.
This was the charge hurled against civilized nations by Douglas Murray, some 13 years ago when he ended his message by letting the audience know that he is not counting on them to get this right, since they never have! Murray understands the feeble makeup of these dishonest leaders who he calls out as making the choice for dishonor.
Now, 13 years later, Murray spends his time debating these same disingenuous actors whose intense hatred for Israel is so unjustified that they are willing to lie and disseminate vicious and unfounded charges against Israel in order to garner more voices against them. It is truly astounding how, up until now, these individuals were so invested in isolating Israel as a pariah, that they were willing to turn a blind eye on a wicked and oppressive enemy, under whose rule they would never endure.
But when it comes to freedom, Israel is willing to stand on the forefront, knowing the great cost of such a fight, which places its own citizens in jeopardy as Iran retaliates against our civilian population by launching hundreds of ballistic missiles in the most populated centers of Israel, hoping to kill as many Jews as possible. If that’s not genocide, what is?
Conversely, Israel’s battle is not with the Iranian people but rather with this oppressive, extremist regime, and that means that warnings are given prior to any attacks, letting the population know that they must move to a safer location. The contrast couldn’t be more starkly pronounced! Israel is focused on the preservation of life, the dignity of mankind and the ultimate cherished prize of freedom while Iran brazenly shoots to kill!
Already, Israel has set up centers for its homeless, caring for their every need. What have the mullahs of Tehran done for their people who now find themselves without a roof over their heads? The hypocrisy of the world is front and center for all to see, but in the privacy of their chambers, they are undoubtedly uttering the words which they thought they’d never hear themselves say – Thank God for Israel!
