Is Israel to blame for anti-Jewish sentiment abroad?

The attempt to attribute all of the open Jew hatred that has flooded the Western world, as a result of Israel’s defense of its citizens, following the brutal October 7th massacre, is nothing more than a cheap shot.

The mere suggestion of a causal effect, is a cleverly disguised tactic to stop the continuation of a battle which had to be fought! But the claim, meant to get us to internalize the great damage Israel has done, to its Jewish counterparts abroad, was designed to push the false belief that if the war would stop, so too, the antisemitism would subside.

That’s what was expressed by British journalist, Piers Morgan, during a recent interview he conducted with Hananya Naftali, digital aid to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Calling Israel a pariah, who has alienated other nations, Morgan believes that the many threats suffered by ordinary Jewish people throughout the globe can be linked back to the military actions the Jewish state took in order to root out an enemy whose sole raison d’etre has been to annihilate the people of Israel.

Ironically, no other country seems to be faced with this issue, even though embroiled in a bitter war. Take Russia, for example. Putin is a hated foe by many nations. Yet, despite all that he has perpetrated upon Ukraine, Russians who live abroad are not experiencing a backlash from his actions.

The same is true of countries, which are persecuting minorities within their population, such as China’s treatment of the Uyghurs. Though morally reprehensible, Chinese people living abroad are not being blamed or vilified for the despicable acts of their home government. Burma and Rwanda, have also perpetrated atrocities against their own people and denied basic human rights.  Oddly enough, citizens living abroad from those places are also not suffering from death threats.

Which leads us to believe that the antisemitism of the last two years is an anomaly and a unique phenomenon, only applicable to Jews. It’s so much deeper than the defense taken up by Israel.

Considering that the Jewish people have been the target of centuries’-long hatred and contempt, they have to be categorized as an oddity which has no equal.

This suggests a dark and demonic drive to rid the earth of people whom God chose, among all the nations, to be the ones through whom His plan for redemption would be revealed to all of mankind. Who would want to destroy a people with that kind of blessed destiny?

Only one creature comes to mind. As the story goes, recorded in Isaiah 14:12-15, Lucifer, the fallen angel, was banished from heaven when he rebelled against the Almighty. As God’s enemy, he initiated the war between good and evil, starting with the first man and woman, but especially concentrated on the chosen people.

Call it Satanic payback or outright jealousy, this diabolic foe tirelessly recruited all those he could to do the dirty destructive work, in an effort to thwart the plan of Almighty God. It is the reason that Israel is the bullseye of hatred, in the midst of evil countries which live in the greatest darkness imaginable.

But well before Israel became a modern-day nation, that hatred was directed at the Jewish people who were constantly portrayed as the enemy within.  Had they not been granted a homeland, the anger and rage would still be hurled against them, because, with or without a country, they will always represent the people hand-picked by God. They wear the ultimate “Kick Me” sign pasted on one’s back.

Of course, all of this spiritual context is missed by Piers Morgan who fails to connect the right dots, instead, concluding that the problem lies with Israel. To him, the defense of their citizens, did a great disservice to the tribe living outside of the Promised Land.

In fact, Morgan is certain of their guilt since, as he puts it, Israel would allow foreign journalists to be embedded with the IDF if the military truly had nothing to hide and was, indeed, living up to their self-avowed reputation of being the most moral army in the world.

Morgan discounts the possibility that Israel has chosen to be smart about not inviting a hostile media to witness what is being done on the battlefield to eradicate the enemy who will not rest until Israel ceases to exist.  Towards that end, the destruction of tunnel shafts, leading to nearly every Gazan home, must be undertaken, an act which, to a biased journalist would be characterized as Israel’s deliberate demolition of Gaza.

To a fair arbiter, however, it would confirm that every Gazan resident knew what was being planned and were complicit in its planning and execution.  What country in the world would have done differently from Israel, when it comes to the moral obligation to protect their citizens from a savage massacre, the likes of what we saw two years ago?

Who among them would take the time to drop leaflets, warning those same residents, who celebrated the atrocities, to evacuate areas where a battle would soon be fought? Who would feed them while their own leaders stole food intended for them? Only Israel!

The problem is that when you’ve made up your mind, in advance, based on prejudicial political leanings, the chances of fair reporting are slim to none.  Everything is judged by a false measure, because that’s how the narrative survives.

Consequently, every effort made by Israel has been judged as insufficient or a meager effort. Surgical military operations are still depicted as targeting innocents, and any unfortunate mistakes or unintended collateral damage is represented as the use of a disproportionate balance of power. Can anyone imagine the allied forces being accused of such a term as they fought the Nazi regime?

Now that a peace agreement has been enacted, will we see an end to antisemitism? Because if Morgan’s theory is correct, all of that should come to an end.

But who really believes it will?  Something evil has been unleashed, and it’s unlikely that we will witness its end.  Jew haters will patiently wait for the next reason to blame Israel, and by their ethnic association, all Jews as well.

The work of the enemy is not over, nor is the participation of the willing recruits whose marching orders come from the initiator of evil. Together they will continue their lifelong commitment – the ultimate destruction of Israel.
