Cluster warhead damages multiple sites in central Israel | Schools reopen in parts of Israel | IDF destroys Iran's 'Air Force One' plane

12:41 - No injuries in simultaneous attacks from Iran & Hezbollah on northern Israel & Jerusalem area

Millions of Israelis were sent to shelters as the Iranian regime launched ballistic missiles at the Jerusalem area and northern Israel, while Hezbollah also launched attacks on northern Israel at the same time.

Despite the unusual, simultaneous attacks, Times of Israel cited initial military assessments saying that the small number of missiles launched were either intercepted or struck open areas.

There were no reports of injuries or damage caused by the attacks or the interceptions.


12:11 - Despite green light: Fewer than half of the students returned to school

The Education Ministry said that fewer than half of the students whose schools were allowed to reopen today, returned to school, according to i24 News.

Starting today, schools located in areas designated “yellow” according to the government are allowed to reopen, provided they have safety shelters for students in the event of missile fire.

11:32 - 142 Israelis taken to hospitals for treatment in past 24 hours

142 Israelis were taken to hospitals to receive treatment for injuries sustained in the past 24 hours as a result of attacks from Iran, the Health Ministry said.

Of those, three are currently in moderate condition, while 134 are in good condition, and five were treated for acute anxiety.

Since the beginning of the war with Iran on Feb. 28, 3,369 people have been treated at various hospitals, 81 of whom are currently still hospitalized, the ministry said.

10:59 - Cluster warhead injures one woman, causes damage to multiple sites in central Israel

One woman was lightly injured and taken to a hospital after Iran's latest ballistic missile attack, according to the Magen David Adom rescue services.

Sirens were activated across the greater Tel Aviv area, as well as parts of the coast to the north and south, and parts of Samaria. The missile apparently contained a cluster munition warhead, whose submunitions caused damage at multiple sites.

In the city of Shoham, one submunition hit a house, causing significant damage but no injuries.

10:21 - Iran threatens US aircraft carrier

A spokesman for the Iranian Khatam al-Anbiya central headquarters, responsible for coordinating joint operations of all armed forces, threatened the American aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford.

The spokesman said that, due to the vessel being a threat to Iran, its logistical centers and support facilities in the Red Sea are being considered as targets for the Iranian armed forces.

09:51 - Israeli Air Force destroys Iranian 'Air Force One' in Tehran airport

The Israeli Air Force struck and destroyed the aircraft of the leader of the Iranian regime at Mehrabad Airport in Tehran, the Israeli military announced.

"The IDF carried out a targeted strike overnight (Monday) and destroyed the aircraft used by Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Iranian terror regime, at Mehrabad International Airport in Tehran. The aircraft was used by Khamenei, other senior officials of the regime, and members of the Iranian military to facilitate military procurement and manage relations with allied 'axis' countries through both domestic and international flights."

"The destruction of the aircraft harms the Iranian regime leadership’s ability to coordinate with allied countries, build military power, and restore its operational capabilities. As a result, another strategic asset has been removed from the Iranian regime."

09:24 - Mossad tells Iranians: 'Final battle will begin soon'

A Persian-language 𝕏 account claiming to be the Mossad's official representation on the platform told Iranians that the war against the regime would soon reach its zenith.

"Your final battle will begin soon. We are with you in the sky on earth and in our hearts," the message read.

08:40 - Schools in parts of Israel resume classes

Schools in some parts of Israel are resuming normal classes today, after the government created a color-coded zone system to determine which regions of the country are most at risk.

Schools located in areas designated “yellow” according to the government are allowed to reopen, provided they have safety shelters for students in the event of missile fire.

08:05 - 91st Division begins ground operations in Southern Lebanon 

In recent days, 91st Division forces have begun focused ground activity targeting key objectives in southern Lebanon to expand the forward defense zone, the IDF announced. 

The operation is part of an effort to establish forward defenses, which include the destruction of terror infrastructures and the elimination of terrorists operating in the area, in order to remove threats and create an additional layer of security for residents of northern Israel, the military explained.

The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defense says, "UAE air defences are currently responding to incoming missile and drone threats from Iran."

05:00 - Trump considering seizing Kharg Island Axios reports

President Donald Trump is considering the seizure of Iran’s Kharg Island, a key oil depot, if the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, Axios reports, citing unnamed US officials.

04:45 - Trump tells reporters Cuba is next

President Donald Trump told reporters that he has held talks with the government of Cuba.

“We’re talking to Cuba, but we’re going to do Iran before Cuba,” Trump said.

“I think we will pretty soon either make a deal or do whatever we have to do,” he added.

04:05 - Flights from Dubai International Airport suspended

Flights from Dubai International Airport were temporarily suspended after a drone struck a fuel tank and sparked a fire, the Associated Press reports.

Civil defense crews later contained the fire, the Dubai Media Office said.

The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority said the flight suspension was taken as a precaution.

03:30 - Trump says he doesn't think Iran is ready to negotiate

Asked by reporters about diplomatic talks with the Iranian government, President Trump said, “We’re talking to them, but I don’t think they’re ready. But they’re getting pretty close.”

He also said, “I don’t think they’re ready to do what they have to do."

He also said the U.S. would have other demands besides Iran's nuclear program.

“There will be no nuclear weapons – that’s where it starts. And then on top of that, there’s plenty of things that we’re going to get,” Trump said.

02:30 - Trump demands countries reliant on M.E. oil join coalition to secure Strait of Hormuz 

U.S. President Donald Trump said Sunday that he “demanded” that about seven countries heavily reliant on oil from the Middle East form a coalition to secure the Strait of Hormuz. 

Trump made the statement while answering reporters’ questions aboard Air Force One as he flew back to Washington. 

“I’m demanding that these countries come in and protect their own territory, because it is their own territory,” Trump said regarding the vital waterway. 

“The United States of America has beaten and completely decimated Iran, both Militarily, Economically, and in every other way, but the Countries of the World that receive Oil through the Hormuz Strait must take care of that passage, and we will help – A LOT! The U.S. will also coordinate with those Countries so that everything goes quickly, smoothly, and well. This should have always been a team effort, and now it will be – It will bring the World together toward Harmony, Security, and Everlasting Peace!” Trump had earlier posted to his Truth Social account. 

02:17 - Drone hits Dubai airport as Saudi Arabia also targeted 

A drone hit the Dubai International Airport, causing a fire, the Dubai Media Office said. 

Videos on social media showed a column of smoke rising from the airport premises. 

Meanwhile, the Saudi Ministry of Defense said it intercepted a barrage of 25 drones in the eastern region, home to major oil installations.

The IDF announced that Israeli warplanes are currently carrying out “a wave of extensive strikes targeting infrastructure of the Iranian terror regime in Tehran.” 

02:00 - UK pledges over $6 million for Lebanon aid

British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper said the UK will provide around 5 million pounds ($6.62 million) of emergency funding to the Lebanese government for humanitarian aid.

Cooper also condemned Hezbollah’s attacks against Israel, saying they are "drawing the people of Lebanon into a conflict they do not want."

“The actions of this proscribed terrorist group – at the instigation of the Iranian regime – are once again drawing the people of Lebanon into a conflict they do not want and which is not in their interests,” she said.

Four rockets landed near Baghdad International Airport late Sunday, the Associated Press reported+

. The attack is the second such attack in a day, and is believed to have been carried out by Shia militias targeting U.S. logistical operations there. 

0045 - 5 killed in Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon 

Lebanon’s health ministry said that 5 people were killed in Israeli strikes overnight. Three people were killed in a strike in the Tyre district on Sunday, while another strike in the Marjeyoun district killed two people. 

00:38 - French President Macron speaks with Iranian President Pezeshkian

French President Emmanuel Macron said he asked Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to end attacks against countries in the region, in a post on social media.

He stated that “freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz must be restored as soon as possible.”

00:30 - Price of US crude oil rises to over $100 per barrel 

The price of U.S. crude oil rose above $100 per barrel as shipping and production of oil in the Middle East continue to be affected by the Iran war. 

West Texas Intermediate reached $101.02 per barrel shortly after trading resumed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, while the price of Brent crude, the international standard, hit $106.39 on Sunday.

The IDF announced it is striking Hezbollah targets in the Lebanese capital of Beirut.
