Former captive Alon Ohel is about to fulfill a dream: celebrating life through the music that sustained him in his darkest moments. On Feb. 9, 2026, the one-night-only celebratory concert “Alon Ohel – Playing Life” will take place at Hangar 11 in Tel Aviv.

At the heart of the evening will be Ohel himself – a gifted pianist since childhood – who not only initiated the event but will also take the stage with a full band. He is expected to play the piano and accompany the artists he loves, whose songs held deep meaning for him during his time in captivity. Ohel will also weave personal segments and stories into the performance.

The list of artists who volunteered to participate in the event , In short, includes (in alphabetical order): Eviatar Banai, Alon Eder, Guy Mazig, Gal Toren, Idan Amedi and Shlomi Shaban. Musical production for the evening is by Amos Ben David.

“I’m very excited ahead of the show,” Ohel said today. “This will be the first time I step onto a stage like this, and it’s a tremendous honor for me to share it with the artists whose songs accompanied me throughout that entire period. It’s important to me to show everyone that light overcomes darkness. I’m coming to embrace and say thank you to all those who supported me and my family, and to celebrate life together with you.”

Alon’s mother, Idit Ohel, also shared: “In the hardest moments when Alon was in captivity, I would close my eyes and imagine him playing on a stage in front of thousands of people, simply happy – and now it’s happening. Happiness is seeing dreams come true. Alon is here with us, living the music, living life.”

The production team stated that all proceeds from the concert will be dedicated to Alon’s rehabilitation fund. Ticket prices will range from NIS 250 to NIS 500 across three pricing categories, to allow a broad audience to participate. In addition, special donation tickets (“Orchestra”) will be offered at NIS 1,000.
