US threatens to revoke visas of Palestinian UN delegation
The United States is reportedly threatening to revoke the visas of members of the Palestinian delegation to the United Nations in what sources describe as an unprecedented move.
According to an internal State Department document, U.S. officials were instructed to pressure Palestinian representatives — including the Palestinian ambassador to the UN — to withdraw his candidacy for vice president of the UN General Assembly. The document states that the ambassador has “a history of accusing Israel of genocide.” Critics warned the move could further inflame tensions.
