UAE intercepts Iranian missiles and drones amid renewed Iran attacks
The UAE intercepted Iranian aerial attacks on Friday morning, the Ministry of Defense said in a post on X, noting that “the sounds heard in various parts of the country are the result of the UAE air defense systems intercepting ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones.”
The statement follows an Iranian attack on the UAE on Monday including drones, cruise missiles and dozens of ballistic missiles.
Earlier this week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed spoke by phone following renewed Iranian attacks on the Gulf country that put the IDF “on alert,” according to a military statement.
