Trump: US struck Iranian cargo ship attempting to breach naval blockade
U.S. President Donald Trump said American forces struck an Iranian cargo ship that attempted to break the naval blockade. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said a U.S. guided-missile destroyer intercepted the vessel in the Gulf of Oman and issued a warning to stop.
After the Iranian crew refused to comply, the ship was disabled by a strike on its engine room, and U.S. Marines boarded and took control of the vessel.
