Trump postpones strikes on Iran energy sites
President Trump said Washington and Tehran have held “very good and productive” conversations leading to a five-day postponement of U.S. strikes on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure, “subject to the success of the ongoing meetings and discussions.”
In a post on 𝕏, the U.S. president said discussions on "a total resolution" of hostilities in the Middle East would continue throughout the week.
“Based on the tenor and tone of these in depth, detailed and constructive conversations, which will continue throughout the week, I have instructed the Department of War to postpone any and all military strikes against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure for a five day period,” Trump said.
