Trump: Ground invasion of Iran would be a 'waste' but leadership must be replaced
A ground invasion of Iran would be “a waste of time,” U.S. President Donald Trump said, while suggesting Washington intends to play a role in shaping the country’s future leadership.
In an interview with NBC News, Trump said Iran has already “lost everything,” including much of its naval capability, amid ongoing strikes.
At the same time, he indicated the United States wants to “clean out” the leadership structure as Iran moves toward selecting a new leader.
