Third round of US-Iran talks begins in Islamabad

A third round of face-to-face negotiations between U.S. and Iranian representatives has begun in Islamabad, according to Iran’s Tasnim news agency. The talks are being held with Pakistani mediation.

A reporter at the scene said that due to what were described as “excessive” U.S. positions, this round may represent the final opportunity to reach a mutual framework of understanding.
