Suspected hazardous materials incident at Ben Gurion Airport after smoking package
Emergency crews were dispatched to Ben Gurion Airport after a package in a shipment began emitting smoke, raising concerns of a hazardous materials incident. Firefighters and a specialized hazmat unit responded to the scene, and all workers in the area were immediately evacuated to prevent exposure.
Authorities conducted monitoring operations to identify the substance and are working to safely remove it. The incident is now under full control, and no injuries have been reported.
