President Herzog greets Iranian people for Nowruz festival: 'Our ties stretch across geography & time'
Israel's President Isaac Herzog sent a greeting to the Iranian people, who are celebrating the new year with the Nowruz festival.
“To the people of Iran, from the President’s Residence in Jerusalem, I send you all my best wishes from the people of Israel to the people of Iran for a Happy Nowruz. The ties between the Persian and Jewish people stretch long and far across geography and time. Your beautiful Nowruz tradition reminds us when darkness seems to gain the upper hand and casts its shadow across our hopes and dreams, the light returns and a new season begins," Herzog stated.
“Let us remember better days are possible. We will yet celebrate Nowruz together again as in the days of Cyrus the Great, spreading the light of cooperation, friendship, and peace."
