PM Netanyahu secretly visited UAE during Iran war, leading to 'historic breakthrough in relations'
"Amid of Operation 'Roaring Lion,' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a secret visit to the United Arab Emirates and met with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed," the Prime Minister’s Office confirmed after a first report by Channel 13 News.
"This visit led to a historic breakthrough in relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates," the PMO added in a statement to Israeli media outlets.
Earlier reports stated that Israel provided the UAE with air defense systems, including Iron Dome, to fend off Iranian attacks during the war, and that Mossad Chief David Barnea also secretly visited the Emirates.
