Netanyahu raises concerns to Trump over Iran nuclear delays and Lebanon ceasefire link- report
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed concerns to U.S. President Donald Trump over emerging terms in a possible agreement with Iran, particularly regarding delays in addressing Tehran’s nuclear program and the reported linkage between the Lebanon and Iran ceasefires.
According to a source familiar with the matter, Netanyahu and Israeli security officials believe Iran is attempting to buy time and warn that disputes over Tehran’s unwillingness to compromise could resurface within 60 days.
Israeli officials are reportedly troubled that key nuclear issues would only be discussed in a later phase of negotiations, potentially removing the option of near-term military action against Iran. At the same time, reports that Iran agreed to transfer its stockpile of enriched uranium abroad are viewed in Israel as a significant development.
