Netanyahu: 'I underwent procedure for early-stage prostate cancer - thank God, I'm healthy'
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he recently underwent a procedure to remove a small, "very early-stage malignant tumor" in his prostate, adding that he is healthy and "in excellent physical condition."
"Today, my annual medical report was published. I asked to delay its publication by two months so that it would not come out at the height of the war, in order not to allow the terror regime in Iran to spread further false propaganda against Israel," he noted.
"In the most recent check-up, a very small spot—less than one centimeter—was discovered in the prostate.
Tests showed that it was a very early-stage malignant tumor, with no spread or metastasis. The doctors told me this is very common for people my age... I underwent targeted treatment that removed the problem and left no trace."
"From you, the citizens of Israel, I have just one request: Take care of your health. Get checked, and follow your doctors’ instructions," Netanyahu added, "and now, on the eve of Shabbat, I pray for the well-being of our wounded—both physically and mentally—and send them a warm embrace and wishes for a full recovery on your behalf."
