Kuwait International Airport targeted as Iranian attacks escalate across the Gulf
Kuwait International Airport came under attack Thursday as Iran’s strikes across the Gulf continue.
Abdullah Al-Rajhi, spokesperson for Kuwait’s Civil Aviation, told local media that several drones targeted the airport this morning, causing material damage but no casualties or injuries.
Also on Thursday, Bahrain’s Civil Defence contained a fire at a Muharraq fuel storage facility after eight hours following an Iranian strike.
Meanwhile, two Iranian drones targeting Saudi Arabia’s Shaybah oil field in the southeast were intercepted and destroyed, the Saudi Ministry of Defense said on X.
An early Thursday attack on Iraq’s Basra port killed at least one person and forced authorities to suspend operations at all the country’s oil terminals, the Associated Press reported.
