Jordan policy shift forces Arkia flight cancellations, hundreds stranded
Hundreds of Israelis were left stranded at Aqaba airport after Arkia was forced to cancel flights at the last minute due to an unexpected policy change in Jordan.
According to the airline, authorities have stopped approving certain flights operated by European aircraft, disrupting Arkia’s alternative routes.
Arkia said that due to the sudden policy shift and lack of real-time regulatory approvals, several planned departures from Aqaba were canceled until further notice.
