Evangelical Jerusalem Seminary comes under missile fire during Iranian attacks on Israel
The Jerusalem Seminary, the only English-speaking Evangelical seminary in Israel, was hit by shrapnel from an Iranian missile today, after parts of an interception hit the roof of the school’s main building.
The shrapnel hit directly over the office of Jerusalem Seminary Founder and Director Dr. Baruch Kvasnica, during office hours. The seminary staff and students were in the basement due to air raid alarms warning of incoming missiles, and were not injured.
The shrapnel was discovered by Israeli bomb squad members who saw the debris from the interception sticking out of the roof. After an examination, the bomb squad determined that the shrapnel could only be removed by going through the ceiling of Dr. Kvasnica’s office, he told ALL ISRAEL NEWS.
The seminary, which offers both online and in person classes, opened for the spring semester last week, despite the ongoing Iran war. Dr. Kvasnica told ALL ISRAEL NEWS that whenever alarms have sounded during classes, the students and professors all go down into the basement of the Alliance Church, on whose property the seminary is hosted.
“In spite of all this Jerusalem Seminary opened the semester this past week teaching both in person and by video,” Dr. Kvasnica said. “We thank the Lord for your prayers and God’s ongoing protection.”
