Israel's President Herzog departs for state visit to Kazakhstan
Israel's President Isaac Herzog was set to depart for a two-day official visit to Kazakhstan at the invitation of President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Monday, his office stated.
"The focus of President Herzog's visit will be to strengthen the growing bilateral ties between Israel and Kazakhstan across a range of fields. During the visit, President Herzog will be accompanied by an official delegation of representatives from Israeli authorities and organizations, with an emphasis on innovation and technology."
"President Herzog will also meet with the leadership of the local Jewish community in Kazakhstan," the statement added.
Kazakhstan formally acceded to the Abraham Accords framework in November 2025, however, the two countries have had diplomatic relations since 1992.
