Israeli troops killed 'dozens' of Hezbollah operatives, destroyed terror infrastructure in south Lebanon
The IDF stated that troops of the 7th Brigade combat team have been carrying out targeted raids in southern Lebanon over the past week.
"As part of the effort to strengthen the defense of residents in northern Israel, the combat team of the 7th Brigade, under the command of the 36th Division... has eliminated dozens of militants and destroyed dozens of terror infrastructures, including a weapons depot, a headquarters, and observation posts belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization."
"At the same time, the Northern Command continues preparations to receive additional forces during the coming week, in accordance with the directive of the Chief of Staff. In addition, forces of the Golani Brigade have completed their deployment, and after a period of refreshment, the brigade is ready to receive orders according to the operational assessment."
The IDF noted that "The activity of IDF forces in southern Lebanon, as part of a forward defense, constitutes an additional layer of protection for the residents of northern Israel."
