Israeli schools set to reopen on Sunday in certain areas, says Education Minister
Education Minister Yoav Kisch said that schools could start being reopened gradually in certain areas next Sunday, of the IDF Home Front Command allows it in its scheduled security assessment on Saturday night.
Kisch noted that schools in the greater Tel Aviv area, as well as northern Israel, could not be opened at the moment due to the heavy fire that is being directed there daily.
However, in other areas, he said that "educational activities will be allowed adjacent to a standard protected space,” but only for special education schools, daycares, and the first, second, eleventh and twelfth grades.
Meanwhile, schools will continue distance learning to maintain the connection between teachers and students, Kisch added.
