Israel approves transfer of rat poison to Gaza Strip amid rodent plague
Israel has approved the transfer of hundreds of cartons of specialized pesticides for rodent and rat control as well as 20 tons of pesticides and pest-control equipment to the Gaza Strip for the first time, according to COGAT (Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories).
"Following ongoing dialogue with the international community and our partners to address emerging needs on the ground, COGAT is working closely with the CMCC to manage sanitation efforts in the Gaza Strip," the IDF unit said.
"Over the past few weeks, we have coordinated the entry of approximately 110 tons of pesticides in partnership with aid organizations and the international community."
