Iranian president & parliament speaker threaten to cancel ceasefire over Israeli strikes against Hezbollah

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian and parliament speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf in separate posts on X threatened to cancel the ceasefire agreement with the U.S. and Israel over the IDF's ongoing strikes against Hezbollah.

"Lebanon and the entire Resistance Axis... form[s] an inseparable part of the ceasefire... there is no room for denial and backtracking," Ghalibaf wrote.

"Ceasefire violations carry explicit costs and STRONG responses."

Pezeshkian said the Israeli strikes are "a blatant violation of the initial ceasefire agreement. This is a dangerous sign of deception and lack of commitment to potential agreements. The continuation of these actions will render negotiations meaningless. Our fingers remain on the trigger."
