Iranian hackers claim hack of former Israeli justice minister’s phone
An Iran-linked hacker group calling itself “Handala” claimed on Saturday that it had hacked the mobile phone of former Israeli justice minister Ayelet Shaked.
The group published what it said were 208 pages of Shaked’s contact list, including figures described as “high profile,” along with dozens of items allegedly extracted from the device and posted on X under the title “Secrets of the Queen.”
The claim is the latest in a recent wave of alleged hacks targeting senior Israeli figures. In recent weeks, the same group said it breached the phone of former prime minister Naftali Bennett, leaking nearly 5,000 contacts, including current and former security officials, Mossad and Shin Bet personnel, politicians, journalists, diplomats, and families of hostages and fallen soldiers. The group has also claimed to have hacked the phone of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s chief of staff, Tzachi Braverman.
