Iranian envoy: Tehran in talks with Oman on joint control of Hormuz
Iran’s ambassador to Cairo said Tehran is negotiating with Oman over joint management of the Strait of Hormuz.
In an interview with Al Jazeera, Mojtaba Ferdowsi Pour said Iran has the right to control security in the strategic waterway during wartime, arguing that the country’s long coastline along the strait gives it a central role in its management.
