Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister: Ready for compromises, but will respond to existential threat

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi said Sunday that Tehran is prepared to consider compromises in order to reach a nuclear agreement with the United States, provided Washington shows willingness to discuss lifting sanctions.

In an interview with the BBC, he added that while Iran is open to negotiations, it would respond accordingly if it perceives an existential threat, signaling both flexibility and a firm stance amid ongoing diplomatic efforts.
