Iran war has cost Israel some $11.5 billion so far, finance ministry says
The war against the Iranian regime has cost Israel some NIS 35 billion ($11.5 billion) so far, according to an initial estimate by the Finance Ministry, which also noted that the total expenses would only become clear in the future.
Most of the funds, some NIS 22 billion, went to the IDF as well as the ministries of defense and national security, and other security agencies.
Another NIS 12 billion was spent to compensate citizens for missile damage, loss of economic output for businesses, and unpaid leave for workers.
Increased operations in hospitals, heightened emergency responses and additional expenses for the Social Affairs Ministry totaled another NIS 1 billion, the ministry said.
