DM Katz announces IRGC intelligence chief eliminated
The head of intelligence for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) was killed overnight in Tehran, Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed on Monday.
Katz added that Majid Khademi, head of the IRGC Intelligence Organization, was one of the three highest-ranking officials in the organization: "Majid Khademi was appointed to his position several months ago after his predecessor was eliminated during Operation Rising Lion. As one of the top three figures currently within the organization, his elimination deals a severe blow to the intelligence and operational capabilities of the IRGC."
The IRGC announced Khademi's death earlier in the day, noting his involvement of more than 50 years.
