Iran confirms ceasefire proposal submitted, rejects Hormuz reopening
A senior Iranian official confirmed that a ceasefire proposal has been submitted, but said Tehran will not agree to reopen the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for a temporary truce.
According to a Reuters report, Pakistan has presented Iran and the United States with a two-phase plan that includes an immediate ceasefire and the reopening of the strategic waterway, with the aim of reaching a final agreement within 15 to 20 days.
