Iran claims pilot rescue was cover for enriched uranium theft, U.S. denies
Iran’s Foreign Ministry claimed that a reported U.S. rescue of a pilot was actually a cover operation to steal enriched uranium. A ministry spokesperson pointed to what he described as inconsistencies between the reported rescue location and the actual landing site.
The United States has denied the allegations. Meanwhile, the U.S. ambassador to Israel thanked the IDF and Mossad for their assistance in rescuing American personnel.
