Iran accuses US of ceasefire breach, vows response to ship seizure
Iran’s military leadership accused the United States of violating the ceasefire following the seizure of an Iranian cargo vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, according to Reuters.
U.S. Central Command released footage overnight showing the strike and takeover of the ship, which it said attempted to cross despite the American naval blockade. In response, Iranian officials condemned the action as an “armed act of piracy” and warned that Tehran would retaliate.
