In first, Iran fires ballistic missiles at American Diego Garcia base in Indian Ocean
The Iranian regime fired two intermediate-range ballistic missiles (IRBMs) at Diego Garcia, a joint U.S.-U.K. military base in the middle of the Indian Ocean, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Diego Garcia is at least 3,800 km (over 2,300 miles) from Iran, revealing an as of yet unknown capacity by the regime to fire missiles at that range.
The report said that one missile failed in flight, while the other was intercepted by a U.S. warship with an SM-3 interceptor.
