IDF strikes facility linked to Iran’s chemical weapons program
The IDF said it targeted a research and development facility that had been systematically supplying chemical materials to the Iranian regime. According to the military, the site — owned by the Tofigh Daru company — served as a key supplier of fentanyl to SPND, an organization involved in developing chemical weapons for Iran.
The IDF stated that the facility operated under the guise of a civilian company while transferring hazardous substances used in weapons research. It described the strike as a blow to Iran’s chemical weapons production capabilities, adding that precautions were taken to minimize civilian harm.
The statement followed reports that a pharmaceutical plant in Tehran had been hit, sparking criticism of Israel, including among opponents of the Iranian regime.
