IDF reservist killed, 9 soldiers wounded in Hezbollah explosive attack in Lebanon
Sergeant First Class (res.) Lidor Porat, 31, from Ashdod, was killed in combat in southern Lebanon yesterday (Saturday) during operational activity, the IDF announced this morning. An engineering vehicle from his unit struck an explosive device planted by Hezbollah. In addition to Lidor, nine other soldiers were wounded: one seriously, four moderately, and four lightly.
A force that was in the area for security purposes was hit by the explosion. The IDF said that immediately after the blast, targets in the area were attacked. The wounded soldiers were treated at the scene and evacuated to a hospital for medical care. The IDF has launched an investigation into the incident.
