IDF renews evacuation notice for Lebanese civilians south of Zahrani River
The Israel Defense Force's Spokesman in Arabic, Col. Avichay Adraee, renewed the call to Lebanese civilians to flee north of the River Zahrani amid ongoing Israeli ground operations in southern Lebanon, and airstrikes against Hezbollah throughout the country.
"Hezbollah's terrorist activities are forcing the Israel Defense Forces to act against it forcefully in that area, and it has no intention of harming you. The airstrikes are ongoing as the Israel Defense Forces operate with significant force in the area. Therefore, and out of concern for your safety, we reiterate our urgent appeal for you to evacuate your homes immediately and head immediately north of the Zahrani River," Adraee wrote.
"Anyone present near Hezbollah elements, their facilities, or their combat vehicles endangers their life... Remaining south of the Zahrani River may endanger your lives and the lives of your families. Attention: Any movement southward may endanger your lives," the notice added.
