IDF kills Hezbollah Radwan commander in rare Beirut strike since start of Lebanon ceasefire

In a rare Israeli strike in Beirut since the start of the Lebanon ceasefire, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the IDF killed Malek Balout, the commander of Hezbollah's elite Radwan Force.

Balout has been serving as commander of the Radwan Force since January 2024, when his predecessor Wissam al-Tawil was eliminated.

Netanyahu added that "no terrorist has immunity; the long arm of Israel will reach every enemy and murderer.We promised to bring security to the residents of the North. This is how we act and this is how we will continue to act!”
