IDF eases wartime restrictions for home front in certain areas, allowing schools to reopen

Following a new assessment, the IDF Home Front Command will ease restrictions in some parts of Israel starting on Monday, allowing schools there to open.

The following areas were deemed to be less at risk and will be recategorized from “limited” to “partial activity”: The Beit Shean and Jordan Valleys, Judea and Samaria, the Dead Sea area, West Lachish, the Gaza Envelope, the Western and Southern Negev, and the Arava.

Schools that have an adequate shelter that is reachable within the required time will be allowed to open, as well as gatherings of up to 100 people indoors and 50 people outdoors.
