The IDF confirmed that Israeli ground forces have entered southern Lebanon, stating that the move is part of a forward defense operation to protect northern Israeli communities.
According to the military, troops are operating in the area to establish an additional security layer along the border, alongside extensive strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure aimed at thwarting threats and preventing infiltration attempts into Israeli territory.
