IDF calls Lebanese civilians to evacuate Bekaa Valley towns after evacuation order for Beirut

Following an unprecedented evacuation order for the Dahiyeh neighborhood in southern Beirut, the IDF urged Lebanese civilians to leave the area of three villages in the Bekaa Valley ahead of incoming Israeli airstrikes there.

"Hezbollah's activities in the area are forcing the IDF to act against it forcefully in order to target military infrastructure affiliated with it. The IDF does not intend to harm you," said IDF Arabic Spokesman Col. Avichay Adraee.

"Anyone present near Hezbollah elements, their facilities, or their combat means exposes their life and the lives of their family members to danger," he added.

Both the Dahiyeh and the Bekaa Valley are areas with a large Shiite population, which forms the basis of Hezbollah's support, and where the terror group has most of its strategic infrastructure, weapon depots, launch sites etc.
