Hezbollah declares its 'finger remains on the trigger' as ceasefire with Israel takes hold
Hours after a ceasefire with the Israeli military began, the terror organization Hezbollah declared that its finger "will remain on the trigger, prepared for any betrayal or violation by the enemy" in an official statement.
The group claimed to have carried out around 49 attacks against Israel per day over the past weeks of fighting.
"Despite Israel’s intelligence dominance and intense firepower, it failed to deter [the Hezbollah fighters] from continuing what they describe as their national, humanitarian, and religious duty to defend their country and people," the statement said.
Notably, the statement didn't mention the Iranian regime, only reaffirming Hezbollah's commitment to its leader, Naim Qasem, "and to their people, declaring that they will remain steadfast until their last breath and that their flag will not fall."
