Hadar Goldin’s sister: 'First Memorial Day we can mourn as a bereaved family'
Ayelet Goldin-Kaufman, sister of fallen soldier Hadar Goldin, said this year marks the first time her family can observe Memorial Day as a bereaved family following the return of his body in November.
Goldin’s body had been held by Hamas since 2014 and was returned in 2025. In an interview with Kan News, she described a sense of elevation and emotion, saying, “Hadar lives beside us — from above, but he is here.”
