Gunman near White House killed after opening fire while Trump was inside
A gunman opened fire near the White House while U.S. President Donald Trump was inside the building, according to American reports. The suspect was critically wounded after being neutralized by security forces and later died of his injuries.
An additional civilian was moderately wounded in the incident. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear. Trump later praised the response, saying the “armed attacker was eliminated in a fast and professional operation.”
